How the CS2 world ranking works

The Counter-Strike 2 world ranking orders professional teams by ranking points earned from results at officially recognised tournaments. Points reward wins against strong opposition and decay over time, so a team's standing reflects recent form rather than a single career-defining run. Beating a top side at a Valve-sanctioned event moves the needle far more than clearing a lower-tier bracket, which is why the order near the top shifts every time a big final is played.

We mirror the ranking daily, so the table above tracks the live pecking order across the whole professional circuit — not just the handful of teams in the current headline event. Click any team to see its recent form, map pool, roster and points history.

Frequently asked questions

How often is the CS2 world ranking updated?

The ranking is refreshed every day, so movement from the latest results shows up within 24 hours.

What do the points mean?

Points are earned from tournament results and weighted by the strength of the opponents beaten and the stature of the event. They decay over time, so teams have to keep winning to hold their place.

Why did a team drop without losing?

Because older results carry less weight as they age, a team can slide down the table during a quiet stretch even without a defeat, as rivals bank fresh points.

Is this the same as the Valve ranking?

It follows the same Valve Regional Standings framework that decides Major invitations, so the order closely tracks the official picture teams are actually judged on.
